Milk Sales Support Military Families (Fargo, N.D.)
Cass-Clay Creamery of Fargo, N.D., today announced that it will donate a portion of the sales from several of its milk products to two organizations that help families of servicemen and women deployed overseas.
The Fargo-based dairy will donate money from the sale of its milk packaged in the company’s popular “Easy Grip” containers. Cass-Clay produces 1 percent, 2 percent, and skim milk in the 97-oz. plastic jugs. Beginning February 1, 2005, Cass-Clay will donate a portion of the sale of those three milks to the Minnesota Military Family Foundation and the North Dakota National Guard Emergency Relief Fund. Both nonprofit organizations distribute money through grants and loans to help families of deployed military men and women from their respective states.
“We admire and thank our brave soldiers and airmen, but we also appreciate the sacrifices made by the families, spouses and children of National Guard troops that have been called into service,” says Greg Hansen, Cass-Clay vice president of sales. “This is one small way we can show our appreciation by helping them through what can be a difficult time.”
Founded on October 1, 1935, Cass-Clay has grown into a major member-owned dairy cooperative that employs more than 400 people and has 300 member-producers.
Cass-Clay produces a full range of traditional dairy products, including milk, butter and ice cream, and cultured products such as yogurt and cottage cheese.
